After that, their fur was picked out in light grey, and their claws and teeth were done in bone. To keep them tied into the Space Marines from whence they came, I painted all the exposed skin on them in the same ruddy flesh tone as the Marines I’d done earlier. Any Chaos parts that were left on the tatters of armour hanging from them was painted in the livery either of the Black Legion (Wolf-man on the left) or the Thousand Sons (guy on the right).
Their armour was done in the standard dark grey I used earlier on the Wulfen, and their shoulder pads were filled in with black. The two above are Space Wolves further along that path than even the savage Wulfen, and were simple and fun to paint. Yet dark rumours persist that there are no actual wolves on their home planet of Fenris, and that all the ‘wolves’ which make war alongside the Space Marines are in fact former battle-brothers who have succumbed fully to the Canis Helix’s dark influence and become one with the wolf prowling in their souls. Many Space Wolves go into battle accompanied by war wolves some the size of cars, and others a more regular size.
Time for an update! To go with the bestial Wulfen I put up earlier, here are two more former Space Marines who have gone even further along the path to being little more than snarling predators: Posted by brushwithdestinystudios on Decem
